Both me and my husband are veterans but not "retired". Would we be able to purchase tickets to disneyworld using the military offer?

    Hi Yashira!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First off, let me say a big 'Thank You!' to both you and your husband for your service to our country. Fun trivia time: there are FIVE Military Spouses serving on the Disney Parks Moms Panel this year. We represent active duty, reservists and retirees, both Enlisted and Officers, and span three branches of service as well as the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service!

The list of who qualifies for U.S. Military specially priced Disney Theme Park Tickets as well as Disney Resort Hotel room discounts can be found at the bottom of the individual offer page, but the basic summary is if you can get yourself on a Military Base with your current Military ID, then you should qualify for these rates. Do note that non-20 year retired veterans qualify if they are 100 percent disabled and their MilID states DAVPRM. If you have any more questions or have a special circumstance, do contact Shades of Green, which is an Armed Forces Resort located on Disney property, as they are the ultimate authority who can provide the most information.

If you don't qualify, do take a look at the Disney World Special Offers, Deals and Discounts web page as new promotions are added all the time. Don't forget to check with any membership clubs or affiliations that you hold. Travel and automotive groups like AAA, wholesale warehouse clubs, even rewards based credit cards often have their own special rates. You can even get creative and make your own discount by buying Disney Gift Cards with more value than what you paid at wholesale warehouse clubs and grocery stores.

I hope this helped and do come back with any more planning questions, Yashira!
