Cassandra from MD Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello. My husband is a veteran, still working with the fed gov't (PIV). REAL ID drivers license shows VETERAN - Are we able to use his license to buy the military discounted tickets still? Thanks

My husband, too, is a veteran, Cassandra. From one military family to another, we sure understand and appreciate the sacrifices you’ve made. Thank you!

The Military Promotional Tickets Disney offers have specific requirements both for purchase and activation. Generally speaking, status as a veteran and/or past military service alone does not make an individual eligible to buy and use these tickets. In most cases, service members must be either retired or still serving on active duty to qualify. There are a few exceptions and if you think you might qualify you can visit a participating military base where these tickets are sold to inquire about your specific situation. I can tell you that my husband, even with the veteran distinguisher on his REAL ID and a CAC card for his civilian (DoD contractor) employment, does not qualify for these tickets.

If you find that the Military Promotional Tickets are not an option, you might want to check out the other Special Offers available. These discounts can save Guests lots of money and most of them have few (if any) eligibility requirements.

    I hope that helps!
