My husband is a veteran. Will we qualify for the military discount? He did not retire , he just fulfilled his requirement. His driver license says veteran if that helps.

Hiya, Carmen. As a former military spouse, I know that serving in our nation's military is a big deal. I’m grateful for your husband’s service and sacrifice, as well as yours. Thank you both!

Walt Disney World does offer 4-Day and 5-Day promotional tickets for members of the U.S. military. Though there are some exceptions relating to disability status, eligibility requirements state that active duty, retired and reservist military personnel are the only veterans who qualify. Prior service alone, generally speaking, does not qualify an individual for this promotion.

Are you familiar with Shades of Green? It’s located near Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. They have a “Salute to Our Veterans” program which allows all honorably discharged veterans an opportunity to vacation at the resort during designated months of the year. My family has stayed at Shades of Green several times and we find it to be a great value. I recommend checking into it if you’re interested.

Of course, a great resource for finding discounts is the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. Super savings are waiting to be had! Guests can take advantage of discounts on theme park tickets or hotel rooms in the Disney Resort Collection, often times without meeting any eligibility requirements as far as club memberships or status.

I hope I have cleared things up for you, Carmen. I’m wishing you a magical vacation!
