My husband is a veteran. I have heard that there is a veteran discount for Disneyworld tickets. If so, how much is a 3 day pass? Can he purchase more than one for himself, say for each member of the family? How does he purchase these?

Hi Barbara, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let me first say a big THANK YOU to your husband, your family, and also to YOU for the sacrifices you've all made over the years because of your husbands service. As an Air Force wife myself, i'm so happy to help your family plan an amazing vacation, and I hope your trip makes up for lost family time.

Yes, Walt Disney World Resort does offer military discounts on theme park tickets, resort hotel stays, even Memory Maker and special events like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The discount prices do change from year to year, however you can get accurate prices once you know your travel dates by calling (407) 939-5277.

I do have more good news!! For the last few years Disney has shown their appreciation to those in uniform by offering special Military Promotional Tickets. If you take a look at the prices of non-discounted, non-park hopper tickets for a three-day stay, it's a much better deal to buy the four-day Military Promotional Ticket.

As far as how many tickets you may purchase, your family as a whole is allowed six Military Promotional Tickets per year, whereas there are no limits on the others. You can also avoid paying sales tax if you purchase your tickets from a base ticket and travel center, or at Shades of Green, which is a military-only resort minutes away from Magic Kingdom Park.

Thank you again for your service, and we'll see you real soon!
