Hi Amanda,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Walt Disney World has some great child care options that you can take advantage of no matter where you are staying.
Walt Disney World offers the
Children's Activity Centers for babysitting for the little ones while adults have an evening out. While there is not a Children's Activity Center at Disney's Contemporary Resort, there is a nearby one - Lilo's Playhouse - at Disney's Polynesian Resort. There is also Simba's Cubhouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Camp Dolphin at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. My daughter loves an evening at a Children's Activity Center when we are at Walt Disney World. We joke that she enjoys our nights out as much as we do! She enjoys eating diner at the centers, and she loves the arts and crafts and other activities. Children must be ages 3 to 12, or 4 to 12 for Camp Dolphin, to attend.
I have great news for you. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, a current membership extra is a
discount of 15% at Children's Activity Centers! Please see the link that I provided for further options.
If your children are not yet old enough for the Children's Activity Centers, or simply if you prefer, there is an in-room babysitting service called Kids Nite Out that you can contact by calling 1-800-696-8105. Their website is kidsniteout.com. Kids Nite Out can send a babysitter to your room. I have also used this service, and my daughter always loved the babysitters that came to our room to watch and play with her!
Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Amanda!
