Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sherrie! Thank you to you and your husband for your service to our country! My brother is in the US Coast Guard, so you and I love our Coasties! My brother and I have taken advantage of the
Military Ticket, Memory Maker and Hotel offers before, so I’ll give you the inside scoop on who is actually eligible for these offers.
Disney defines "Eligible Service Members" as active or retired members of the U.S. Military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). You, as a spouse of a Military Members also qualify if you are able to present valid and active U.S. Military IDs in the absence of active or retired Military Personnel or Commissioned Corps Members. Though your husband may not be active if he has an active ID and can visit his local base ticket office, y’all may be able to get these packages (It really comes down to his official ID). If he doesn’t have a valid active/retired ID, you will be looking at
regular ticket prices available on My Disney Experience. I’d love to help you further with this, as I know the ins and outs of staying at
Shades of Green Resort, and their ticket desk, as well as how to be considered for the
Flag Retreat held daily at Magic Kingdom Park.
Please return to me again and ask as many questions as you like. After all, you’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
