My husband is type 2 diabetic and has to take medication regularly. I am concerned re que times etc aswell as having 2 children and 5mth old baby. What proof do u need to get gac? EG Doctors letter? Also do we both que separately as only he has the card?

Hi, Julian!  A note from your doctor explaining the need for the Guest Assistance Card would be very helpful to the cast members in determining what the best way to address your husband's special needs might be.  If your husband is placed in a separate queue or a waiting area, you will be offered in most cases the opportunity to remain together as one party.

Check with his doctor to see what recommendations can be made to the cast members to help make the visit more magical for your husband.  I know as a type 2 diabetic, I always made sure to carry some glucose tablets with me in the theme parks for those emergency situations if a line had been a bit longer than I expected.  Your physician may offer an option like this as well.

Have him test his sugars more frequently as well.  You'd be surprised at how much the extra exercise can affect your blood sugar levels!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
