My husband and I have two young kids that don’t meet height requirements for some rides. If we want to ride guardians for example, do we both need to buy lightning lanes or can we purchase one and ride swap? Thanks!

    Hey Meghen,

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're in the planning stages of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation - the planning is often my favorite part! You still have your vacation ahead of you (so no post-Disney blues just yet), and you are surrounding yourself with magic every day while you do your research. This might be why I'm a planner at heart. Let's get your question squared away!

Rider Switch is a great service that allows guests with young Mouseketeers to take turns experiencing an attraction. As my fellow panelist Kami outlines in her recent answer to this question, if you plan to use Rider Switch along with your Lightning Lane Single Pass, all parties will need to have Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction to use the service.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a great attraction to use this service for. It's one of the most thrilling attractions and I'm glad that both you and your husband will get to experience it during your trip. A few other attractions in EPCOT that you might want to consider it for (depending on the height of your little ones) are Test Track (which recently reopened with new, beautiful theming that tells the story of how technology in transportation is shaping the world around us - you must see it if you haven't already), MISSION: Space and Soarin'.

Happy planning, and be sure to visit us here at planDisney again if you need us. We'll see ya real soon!
