My husband and I, with our two kids 7 yo and 3 yo is going there on March 2010. I couldn't decide if we'll stay at All star movies hotel or AKL. They would enjoy both but how is the transportation and accomodation in both places? which do you prefer? why?

I could certainly be very happy at any Disney resort during my vacation!  But the two you have mentioned are in two different categories so there will be some differences for you to consider.  The All Star Movies resort is a value resort and will have double beds in each room.  There is a food court area but no restaurant. The common areas are themed all around the movie theme but you will not find as many amenities at the value resorts.  To read more about this location please click HERE.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is in the deluxe category which means the rooms will have queen beds. This resort will have several restaurants to choose from, room service, and the pool will be more extensive with slides and other amenities.  To read more about this resort please click HERE.

If budget is not an issue I will always choose the deluxe resorts over the value ones.  The decor is more elaborate, they offer more services, the rooms are bigger, and their locations are generally better. But I also suggest you ask yourself how much time you plan on spending in your room and at your resort.  If you feel you will be in the parks for the majority of your time then perhaps it is wiser to use the money for more table service dining or recreation or even souvenirs!  Bus service tends to be better at the deluxe resorts but that doesn't mean you won't have full buses even there or wait times to get to the parks. Both locations will be clean and full of the Disney magic so for me it comes down to the economics!
