Hi! My husband and two of our friends are going on an adults-only trip this December (our friends have never been!). They love both British and Irish pub food. Any advice on if we should go to Raglan Road or Rose & Crown? Thanks!

    Hey there, Michelle!

I'm so glad you stopped back by with another question about my very favorite type of visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth - one that is just for adults! There's nothing quite like those pixie-dusted days (and nights) where your schedule is your own, there's no need to check height requirements, and you're free to dine and sip on whatever unique menu items tickle your fancy.

Speaking of unique menu items, I love that you're planning to enjoy one of Walt Disney World Resort's authentic pubs during your visit! I briefly resided in England in my twenties, so I'm a bit partial to Rose & Crown for purely sentimental reasons. Its authentic architecture and theming instantly transports me to another era of my life. With that said, unless you're planning to use your meal to secure guaranteed seating for some of EPCOT’s incredible entertainment offerings through the purchase of a Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package or a Candlelight Processional Dining Package, I’m going to point your pub food-loving pals to Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Disney Springs. While my heart says, "Rose & Crown", my belly emphatically shouts, "Raglan Road!" because of its larger, more diverse dinner menu and brunch offerings. I also think you’ll feel that the nightly live entertainment of Raglan Road is the perfect addition to an adults-only getaway as it encourages parties to linger and order another round, and happily, as adults-only travelers, you’ll have the freedom to do just that!

With so much said in support of Raglan Road, Michelle, I don’t want you to think I’ve forgotten about my first love, so even if you don't grab a meal at Rose & Crown Dining Room, I still encourage y’all to pop into the Pub to grab a pint and enjoy the atmosphere. Once you’ve had your fill of pub vibes, grab a pint to go and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the World Showcase Lagoon in all of its holiday splendor because adults-only means you get to set the pace.

I hope this helps you make your decision, Michelle, but rest assured that you can’t go wrong with whichever pub you choose because you’ll be in the middle of the magic! As always, if any other questions arise as you continue to plan, feel free to stop back by. I’m happy to help a fellow Disney Adult!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
