My husband is turning 50 in March and is a huge DisneyWorld fan. I want to plan something different than our normal visits, but pricing looks restrictive and I have no idea what special options exist. Can you help?

    Welcome to planDisney, Lindsay!

A 50th birthday is such a fun milestone, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with some serious Disney magic! I know you want to shake things up for your husband's special day, so let's check out some extra-magical options, keeping budget in mind. Since I don't know what your budget or your regular visits look like, here are a few ideas to spark your imagination.

For me, a change of scenery can change the entire vibe of a Walt Disney World vacation. If you always choose the same resort for your stays, switch it up for something new! This doesn't have to mean a huge added cost, either, particularly if you're choosing a different resort within the same resort category. Usually stay at Disney's All-Star Music Resort? Try Disney's Pop Century Resort instead, which gives you Disney Skyliner access to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Or, if Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is your usual jam, try Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for some low-key island vibes.

To make your husband feel extra special, try playing into his personality and interests. Is he a certified seafarer? Check out the Amphicar over at Disney Springs. Foodie? Splurge on a special meal, like my favorite, Monsieur Paul at EPCOT. This is a romantic and upscale French restaurant with a decadent prix fixe menu. If you're lucky and you time your reservation just right, you could even score a table with a view of Luminous The Symphony of Us! Prices here do run a bit steep, but Chefs de France makes for a fabulous, more budget-friendly alternative.

Of course, there are many ways to celebrate in The Most Magical Place on Earth! A good place to start is Disney's Enchanting Extras Collection, which offers lots of unique ways to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on your trip. Since your Prince Charming is a big Disney fan, I suggest Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This popular Magic Kingdom walking tour is perfect for superfans who'd love an inside look at the magic! Or, try Behind the Seeds at EPCOT or Caring for Giants at Disney's Animal Kingdom. These are both great tours at a very attractive price point.

Thanks for stopping by, Lindsay! If you have more questions, come find us again here at planDisney!

Wishing you both a magical birthday celebration,

    Allison
