Hi! My husband and I are trying to plan our first WDW vacation w/ a 6yr, 3yr & 20 month old. #1- if we had to choose btwn MGM & Animal Kingdom, which would you recommend? #2- any air conditioned restaurants that offer characters but are quick serve

    Hi Stefani!

#1: If I had to choose between Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom w/your age kids, I'd pick Animal Kingdom. I'm a big fan because all the attractions are really attractive to every age group. Your kids will love the Safari, the Jungle Trek, Exploration Trail and The Boneyard because it's very interactive! They will also love The Festival of the Lion King, It's Tough To Be a Bug and Nemo: The Musical.

Hollywood Studios' younger kids offerings are less (in my opinion)--Disney Junior LIVE (which is awesome!), Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast and Muppets 3D. Of course, Toy Story Midway Mania is fun but my 2 year old had a hard time with it because I couldn't hold him at all.

#2: There are no character meals that are Quick Service. But there are some buffets that are Character Meals--that might be just a quicker meal in general (Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, Princess Storybook Dining in Epcot, Hollywood & Vine Play & Dine at Hollywood Studios, Tusker House Breakfast at Animal Kingdom, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian). The reason they don't do quick service Character Meals is because each character comes to every table. You don't want to miss any of the characters by having a quick meal!

    Hope that helps!
