My husband and I are trying to decide btwn an early December or late January trip. We want to go when we can get the best deal and have lowest crowds. Being there to see the Christmas decorations would be a bonus but value is top priority. Thank u

Hi Shannon, this is a very popular question for this panel...the best time to go for the best value. Obviously, answers on this can vary greatly based on preferences among us panelists. So, here goes on my take.

I would recommend going in late January. While both of those time frames could offer less crowds, the early December might still have a few more people going simply based on the draw of the amazing holiday events, decorations and overall timing. However, while late January won't have the holiday factor, the crowds may be slightly lower as many families and travelers have just finished their end of year vacations.

Speaking in terms of value, I just went online and plugged in a few dates in both early December and late January to compare starting room rates and found that the January dates tended to be on the lower side. Keep in mind, depending on availability and the exact dates you are looking for, these rates could differ.

I hope that this can help you in determining the best time for you and your family.

    Happy Planning!
