My husband and I are going to try to plan a trip to Disney World this November/11 for our two children ages 9 and 6. We are on a very fixed budget and was wondering if there is any tips or ideas on keeping the cost down. Thanks Dina

There are lots of ways to save money during a trip to Disney!  Here are my very best suggestions for you:

    - Consider staying at one of Disney's value resorts.  They offer the most economical accommodations.
    - Skip the rental car.  Disney offers complimentary transportation for their resort guests.
    - Buy base tickets.  The park hopper option is a nice perk, but it's also expensive and unnecessary.
    - Bring along your own bottled water and breakfast items.  You'll save lots of money this way!
    - Set a souvenir budget and stick to it.
    - Feature lunch as your big meal of the day.  Lunch prices are often times significantly lower than dinner.
    - Take advantage of the freebies at Disney World (Club Cool at Epcot, Boardwalk entertainers, etc.)

I hope that these tips will help put a Disney vacation within reach for your family!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
