    My husband & I have a trip planned for December. A family member gave us a $500 Disney gift card for the trip. We've already paid for everything, with the exception of our dining plan. Can we use the gift card towards our dining plan costs?

    Wow!!! What a wonderful gift and how lucky you are to have such a thoughtful family member! I am sure that card will come in real handy on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

    I am pleased to report that you can most definitely pay for your Dining Plan using your Disney Gift Card! You can call The Walt Disney Travel Company at (407)WDISNEY to add the plan if you have not done so already, and at that time, you will be able to give your Gift Card number over the phone.  The total will be applied against your available balance!  If you do plan to add the Disney Dining Plan to your existing vacation package, please note that this modification must be made at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date!

    In addition to making payments towards your reservation, Disney Gift Cards can be used pretty much anywhere around Walt Disney World, including shopping and dining locations throughout the parks and resorts!  You can use them to pay for special tours or even restaurant gratuity!
