Welcome to planDisney Rachael , and thank you for sending in your question. It sounds like you have an exciting family adventure to
Walt Disney World coming up, and I’m so glad you’re planning ahead to make the most of your visit. Understanding how seating works for young children on different rides is an important part of preparing for a smooth and magical day in the parks. I’m happy to help you navigate what to expect so your whole family can enjoy the thrills together!
You will be able to ride all of these attractions together without needing one adult for each child. The confusion often comes from how the seats are arranged, but for your children’s ages and heights, you can all be accommodated safely.
On
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the logs have two seats in each row. Because your children all meet the height requirement, they do not need an adult beside them. You will simply be placed in multiple rows of the same log. A common arrangement is one adult with one child in one row and one adult with two children in the row behind. Cast Members are used to grouping families this way.
Slinky Dog Dash works the same way. Each row seats two people, but it does not require an adult to sit with every child. As long as the height requirement is met, children may sit together. Your family will be spread across several rows, for example with two children sitting together and an adult in front or behind them. All of you remain in the same train.
This pattern applies to most family coasters. Rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and many others frequently seat children together with an adult in a nearby row. Boat rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Frozen Ever After, and “it’s a small world” can seat your entire family in one row or one boat.
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, children under age 7 must be accompanied by someone over 14 to board an attraction. They do not need to be in the same row, only in the same vehicle. With two adults and three children, this is very easy to arrange and Cast Members do it every day.
Rachael, I hope this helps you feel at ease as you continue planning your magical getaway to Walt Disney World Resort. Thank you for taking the time to visit planDisney with your question. Wishing you a visit filled with comfort, joy, and all the wonder Disney is known for.
