My husband and I are travelling to Disney World for our 1st wedding anniversary. Does anyone have any ideas where to celebrate and how to be recognized for such occasion. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Natalie,
Congratulations on your 1st anniversary! I'd recommend a romantic dinner at one of their awesome restaurants that offers a view of the fireworks at MK. Two of them are at the GF. Citricos is the newest at the resort & some of their seating offers great views of the fireworks. Narcoossee's is another one. I really like this one because its near the Seven Seas Lagoon & you can walk outside during the fireworks. There is something about great food, being near the water & fireworks that is just super romantic to me.
My favorite is California Grill at the Contemporary. The atmosphere is a little more festive & you can walk outside during the fireworks for a spectacular view. After dinner go downstairs to The Wave Lounge for cocktails.

You can make reservations at either of these by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Before making your reservations, check the online calendar for fireworks & try to time it so that you are dinning during the fireworks. You can check the on-line calendar by clicking here for the monthly calendar & then click on the specific dates of your visit to check the schedule.

Be sure to let them know that you are celebrating your anniversary when you book your resort reservations or when booking any dining reservations or special experiences.  When you arrive at your resort, ask for a "Happy Anniversary" button for each of you. If they don't have the buttons there, stop by Guest Relations after you enter a park to request one.

You could take a romantic carriage ride at Fort Wilderness (407-WDW-PLAY). Be sure to drop a hint to your husband that the Disney Florist (407-827-3505) can create really romantic gifts that can be delivered to your resort or table while dining :-) Have a magical anniversary!
