    My husband and I will be traveling with our 5 year old son to WDW in December of this year. He really loves animals and I wanted to take him Animal Kingdom, but is it worth it in December?

    Hi Alana.   Absolutely!     If you son enjoys animals, Animal Kingdom is a must.    If your concern is temperatures in December, the only ride that may be unsuitable in real cold weather is the Kali River Rapids.    Other than this one water ride, all the other attractions are enjoyable year round.    Personally, I enjoy visiting the parks when its a bit cooler and I believe most of the animals would agree.

    In addition to the terrific live shows like Finding Nemo and Festival of the Lion King, don't forget to visit these attractions designed for animal-lovers : Kilimanjaro Safaris, the Conservation Station, and Flights of Wonder.  

    These are a few of my kids favorites and I know you and your son won't be disappointed.    Enjoy your vacation!
