My husband and I will be traveling to WDW for our first family vacation with our 7 month old and 2 1/2 year old daughters in May. While I'm attending a confernce during the day are there activities that he will be able to manage with the kids by himself?

    Hi Jenn!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  I suggest your husband just take the children into the parks!  I did that on my own when my children were younger.  My youngest was about 6 months and my oldest was 5 years old and I spent several days with them in the parks.  I had no problems touring the parks on my own without my wife, though my oldest son was older than your daughter is now and I'm sure that helped.

However, it is very easy to get around Walt Disney World.  There are changing tables all over the parks and resorts.  Also, your husband can just take it easy and do the things that the children find most interesting; in other words, there's no need to run around the parks trying to get on as many attractions as possible.

Most of the attractions at Walt Disney World are designed for the whole family in mind.  Your husband will be able to go on a lot of the attractions with both children, especially in the Magic Kingdom.  However, all of the parks have rides and shows for the whole family.

I think going to the parks will be more interesting than going to Downtown Disney, and I think the children are too young to make going to a water park worthwhile.  Another option, of course, is to lounge around the hotel.  Walt Disney World has some amazing hotels and exploring them is a fun and relaxing pastime.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
