Hi Rachel!
My family does just that when we want a short getaway!
Depending on when your are visiting and if you are staying at a Walt
Disney World Resort, I suggest deciding which park(s)
and days to visit based on the Extra Magic Hours. Keep in
mind your kid's schedules and see if morning Extra Magic Hours or
evening Extra Magic Hours are best for your family. Usually, each day
one of the four main parks participates in either the AM or PM Extra
Magic Hours, but I recommend checking for your visit by using the
Calendar
for each park.
My family might decide on
Hollywood Studios
and
Epcot one day, and then
Magic Kingdom another
day. Hollywood Studios might be open early for AM Extra Magic Hours, and
we would incorporate some down time around midday allowing our
two year old a nap. You might want to go to the resort where
the older kids can play at the pool and then rest a bit, too. Once
everyone is geared up again, my family would head over to Epcot, have a
nice dinner, enjoy the park, and end the day with Illuminations. The
next day there might be PM Extra Magic Hours for Magic Kingdom so we might decide to take the morning slow and have a great
character breakfast, play at the park, and plan on a later ending
evening.
You might not get to experience everything at a park in one day. That doesn't mean you won't enjoy your visit. IMO, it's better to go at the kids pace anyway, so you can take time for all the magical moments. Save anything
you don't get to experience for a future visit.
I hope this helps, but if you need would like to give some more details
about your trip, or if you have any other questions you need help with
for planning your Disney vacation, feel free to come back to the Moms
Panel!
Wishing you a magical vacation!
