Welcome aboard, Cassie! I’m glad you dropped anchor here at planDisney with your question.
Oh Boy! It sounds like you’re planning to sail on the
Disney Wish! I can’t wait for you to step aboard and see the enchanting Grand Hall. There are delightful Disney details all around the ship. One of my favorites is the moving artwork located just past
1923. Watch closely, and you can see the Disney Wish sail by in the distance.
Let’s talk about the requirements to board the ship. If you are a U.S. citizen and sailing to the Bahamas on a closed loop sailing, your passport needs to be valid for the length of your cruise. Adults are also required to show a government-issued photo ID. Passport requirements vary based on one’s departure port and itinerary. I recommend reviewing the
citizenship requirements on the Disney Cruise Line website before embarkation.
During online check-in, you will submit a picture of your passport and present this documentation at the port upon arrival. Your check-in will show a "pending review" status until Disney Cruise Line has reviewed and approved it. Keep everyone’s citizen documentation in your carry-on luggage for smooth sailing at the port.
I hope this is welcome news as you plan for your upcoming voyage. Now all that’s left is to pack those suitcases! Please sail back to planDisney with any additional questions as your cruise draws near. We are happy to help.
SEAS the adventure!
