Why ahoy there Lauren, it's great to welcome you aboard planDisney!
When it comes to sailing without any children in tow, you've definitely chosen an excellent ship and itinerary that you're both really going to enjoy together! Throughout my years living and working at sea that began on the
Disney Wonder, I found that these longer cruises up to
Alaska were full of he most unique adventures to explore as a couple. As a seasoned sailor up in those colder, western waters I'm happy to lend my nautical knowledge to help you out as you prepare for your
7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver!
At the current time, here's a glimpse of the schedule of suggested attire over the course of your voyage (which may be subject to change):
- Day 1 - Monday, September 2 - Vancouver - Casual Attire
- Day 2 - Tuesday, September 3 - At Sea - Formal
- Day 3 - Wednesday, September 4 - Dawes Glacier - Casual Attire
- Day 4 - Thursday, September 5 - Icy Strait Point - Casual Attire
- Day 5 - Friday, September 6 - Juneau - Casual Attire*
- Day 6 - Saturday, September 7 - Ketchikan - Semi-Formal
- Day 7 - Sunday, September 8 - At Sea - Casual Attire
*It's important to note that following your departure from Juneau,
the Deck Party that will take place that evening is "Freezing the Night Away" so guests looking to join in with the Nordic-inspired festivities might wear outfits that evoke the spirit of Arendelle to celebrate alongside Anna and Elsa!
With so many days drifting along to marvel at the sights along the Pacific coastline that become gorgeous tree-lined fjords with dramatic waterfalls, you'll be itching to get off and explore. I personally did my best to experience nearly all of the
Alaskan Port Adventures on offer, and here are some of my favorites:
Wishing you the most amazing Alaskan adventures!
