Heya, hiya, Anabella! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you and your husband are coming all the way from Spain for a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in just a little over a month—what a fantastic way to celebrate the season!
You've picked a truly special time to visit, as you'll get to experience the magic of both the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration and
Halloween Time! It's the perfect blend of festive fun, and I just love how the two themes are coming together this year.
Now, regarding the castle decorations, that's a great question! While I can't say for certain which specific decorative elements will remain, the
Disney Parks Blog has shared that the resort will maintain its 70th Celebration theming throughout the Halloween season. It looks like you'll be in luck, as this will likely include the beautiful 70th medallion on
Sleeping Beauty Castle. In addition, some of the nighttime spectaculars that are part of the celebration—like the
Paint the Night parade and
World of Color Happiness!—will be sticking around.
You’ll also be visiting at a time when Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals will be dressed in their Halloween best. And this year, their costumes will be extra special, featuring some of the vibrant colors of the 70th Celebration. I love that they coordinate so perfectly with the spooky season decor! You’ll have plenty of opportunities to snap some pictures with them throughout the parks. To find out where they’re going to be on the day of your visit, just open the
Disneyland mobile app, tap the map pin icon at the bottom, then select “Characters”. Here, you’ll find your favorite Disney pals on the map, as well as where to find them in the parks.
Here's a pro tip for you: be sure to check out the
2025 Disneyland Halloween Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog before your trip! It's a spooktacular way to plan which treats and eats you absolutely must try while you're there. Just looking at all the photos of the themed snacks gets my tummy rumbling!
And before I let you go, Anabella, here's one last bit of fun I learned from a Cast Member! While you absolutely can't miss the giant
Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., what you might not know is that he's a bit of a trickster. As you walk into the park, he greets you with a big ol' grin, but on your way out, if you look at the other side of the pumpkin, you'll see he's winking at you—almost as if to say, "See ya real soon!" Be sure to grab a picture with him from both sides!
I truly hope you enjoy this perfect blend of two wonderful festivities during your visit, Anabella! It sounds like you're in for a wonderfully enchanting trip. If you have any other questions as you continue planning, please feel free to send them our way. We're here to help!
