Hi Savannah,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question that is near and dear to my heart: travelling with an itty bitty baby!
There truly is something to delight babies in every Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. That being said, aside from obviously visiting Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom park was a big hit with my little guy. He also loved Epcot, especially The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
First, check out the
Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page. There, you’ll find all kinds of tips and tricks for enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one! Make sure to visit the
Baby Care Centers if you need a bit of a break during the day! I love their extra-large changing tables and the rocking chairs (especially useful if you’re still nursing).
I also recommend "baby wearing" (i.e. using a baby carrier or a wrap/sling). After a day or two of trying to wrangle our stroller and bucket, I started wearing my little guy and it was so much easier. If you do want to use a stroller, I don’t find that the ones for rent in Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks are great for babies. I would recommend going with an authorized Disney Service provider such as Kingdom Strollers if you don’t plan to bring your stroller from home.
Finally, I STRONGLY recommend heading back to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for a nap time/pool break in the middle of the day. If your little girl is still taking two naps at that point, I would recommend heading back to your Resort for her second nap, to ensure a more pleasant evening... for everyone!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
