Hi, my husband and I will be traveling with our 3 daughters( ages 9,7,5) and are staying 7 nights. Should we get the meal plan or use the $500 card to eat on and pay the difference???? If we go ahead and get the meal plan, what would we use the 500 for?

    Hi Deann!

For a party of 5, you can't beat the meal plans Disney offers. You will save 30% if you choose Standard Dining, and 40% for Deluxe Dining.

For more information on Deluxe Dining, click here.

If you and your family like to purchase merchandise such as photos, keepsakes, or souvenirs, you can use your card for those items instead.

If your card is the Disney Gift Card, you can use it for almost anything. Just check with the appropriate retailer before purchase. The theme parks have some 3rd party vendors that don't honor gift or merchandise cards. For more on the Disney Gift Card, click here.

If your card is the Merchandise Credit Card, you can only use the card toward merchandise. You can't use it towards dining or resort reservations.

    Good luck with your planning!
