My husband and I are toying with the idea of doing the January half to celebrate our 40th birthdays (or maybe in defiance of our 40th birthdays!) Do you recommend the Galloway training schedule, or do you have another one you prefer?

Hi Leslie!  I think that's a great idea!  My husband and I often talk about what we are going to do to "defy" our 40th!  What a great way to celebrate being 40 years young!

I cannot say enough about the Galloway training program.  I know that there are lots of great training programs out there, but his has been so amazing for me.  I love breaking it into intervals with walk breaks.  I always play around with my intervals, depending on race distance and how much I've been training, but for me, it is the best plan around.  There is something about adding in a walk break that makes everything seem less intimidating.  It's also been proven to help prevent injuries.   Be sure to check out the Galloway training schedules available for each Disney race.

I hope this helps!  And I hope you decide to defy your birthdays in runDisney style!  Let me know if you have any other questions!!
