Hello, My husband and I could only get tickets to Tampa on Airmiles. What is the easiest way to get from the airport to the All Stars Sports resort. Our reservation is from Dec 22-30, 2014. I am not familiar with freeways but I can rent a car if neede

    Hi Marilyn,

I live just a few minutes away from Tampa International Airport, so I'm very familiar with the route to Walt Disney World from there. The trip is about 80 miles and, depending on traffic, usually takes less than 90 minutes by car.

I'm not aware of any designated shuttle services that run between the airport and Walt Disney World. I think your options are going to be a rental car or a taxi or car service. The taxi rates in Tampa run about $2.40 a mile. That's a pretty hefty fare. I'd probably look at finding a cheap rental car deal. I've always had good luck on cars deals using one of the discount services, such as Hotwire or Priceline. Besides all the national rental car brands, the Tampa airport also has a number of budget rental agencies.

From Tampa International Airport, you will take Interstate 275 North toward downtown Tampa. Just past downtown, you will head east on Interstate 4. The Disney World exits begin at mile marker 62 of I-4. The exits are well-marked, and you should have no trouble finding your way to the All-Star resorts, which are in the Animal Kingdom area resort area.

I hope that helps. Please let me know me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
