Hi! My husband has a ticket left over from an unused park day during childhood visit at Disney World. He was under the impression that the ticket does not expire. Is this true? Can it be transferred to him as an adult? Thanks.

Hiya, Valerie and welcome back to planDisney. I am so excited to be able to help you again. There is nothing like finding a vintage unused ticket. It happened to me once and I felt like Captain Jack Sparrow finding the Black Pearl.

Your husband may be right about the no-expiration option on his ticket and there are a few ways to find out.

First, email Guest Relations at ticket.usage@disneyworld.com with your questions including pictures of the front and back of your tickets. Since you are not local this will get you the answers you need well in advance of your trip. Be sure to include what you want to do with the ticket such as transfer it to your husband's My Disney Experience Account to use on an upcoming Disney adventure and see if there are any other features with the ticket such as a Disney Water Park entrance.

The second option is to carry the ticket with you to any Theme Park ticket window or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs and a Cast Member will help you sort out the vintage ticket with an unused day. If you do this please be sure to keep it in a very safe place because once it is lost, even if you have a picture of it, it is unredeemable.

The third option is to call Existing Tickets at (407) 934-7639 and/or  (407) 939-1289 and chat with a Cast Member (international calling rates may apply). I have done this and the result was me emailing them pictures of my tickets but it could be different for you. Also, emailing leaves a paper trail of communication.

I recommend Option #1: manage it before you travel below the 40th parallel by emailing images and your questions. It could take up to 14 days to hear back, so the sooner the better.

planDisney Pro Tip:  If you have not been to Walt Disney World Resort in a few years then familiarize yourself with the My Disney Experience app. Aside from the interactive maps with wait times, you may also make dining reservationsMobile Order food and beverages, find your parking spot with Car Locator if you are driving, Merchandise Mobile Check Out from select merchandise locations, and much more.

Valerie, as always, I am so glad to help you. Please contact me directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
