Hi Amanda!
I'm so happy to hear you're planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There's so much to see and do when you visit Walt Disney World - planning can feel overwhelming when you try to do it all! We're happy to be here as a helpful resource as you plan your magical vacation.
Walt Disney World Resort features four major theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Each park is filled with attractions and experiences that can take an entire day to enjoy. I always recommend at least four days, so you can make the most of each park. (I could even devote two days to Magic Kingdom or Epcot!)
February is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World, with smaller crowds and mild weather. Crowds can be a bit larger during Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, which will be held on February 22-25 in 2018. (That's where I'll be that weekend!)
My favorite way to end the day in a theme park is to enjoy one of Walt Disney World's nighttime spectaculars. Each park has their own amazing show in the evening, so with a four-day visit, you wouldn't have to choose which one to miss. At Magic Kingdom, Guests will be able to experience
Happily Ever After Fireworks each evening, beginning this May. At Epcot, Illuminations lights up the sky each night with amazing fireworks. At Hollywood Studios, Guests can enjoy Fantasmic! or Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular at night. Animal Kingdom has recently added
Rivers of Light, and will soon have Pandora - The World of Avatar to visit when night falls to enjoy bioluminescent exotic plants and more!
As you can see, there's plenty of fun to fill your days (and nights!). I hope this helps with your planning! - Diane W.
