My husband and I are thinking of taking a Disney Cruise. We both are 64 years old. It would just be the two of us. We love going to Disney World and Disneyland. Do you think we would feel out of place with just us and no children or grandchildren?

    Hi, Margaret!

Our family of four has taken many Disney Cruise Line vacations together, and enjoyed many of the activities and events geared towards kids. As my kids have gotten older and more independent, my husband and I have been able to experience of more of the adult-exclusive offerings on the ship. If you and your husband enjoy visiting the Disney parks, you're in for a relaxing, magical vacation with Disney Cruise Line!

While there will certainly be plenty of children onboard, you can enjoy several areas on the ship that are "adult-only". The Quiet Cove Pool and upper pool deck are my favorite spots on the ship, and my favorite place for an afternoon nap! Bring along your favorite book, relax in the sun, and enjoy a cocktail delivered right to your deck chair - it's like Heaven. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my husband likes relaxing with his favorite coffee in the Quiet Cove Cafe (also exclusively for adults).

To pamper yourselves onboard, make sure to check out the offerings at Senses Spa and Salon - they offer several spa packages geared toward couples. My husband and I enjoy the Rainforest Room, and the heated lounge chairs with ocean views.

Each evening, you'll enjoy entertainment such as Broadway-style stage shows, comedians, or variety acts. You can enjoy dinner in the three Main Dining venues, or opt for one of the adult-only restaurants, Palo or Remy. After dinner, there are nightclubs and lounges available for adults, with entertainment each evening.

A Disney Cruise Line vacation is perfect for cruisers of all ages. While I love my kids, I sincerely look forward to taking a "Mom and Dad only" cruise someday - I'm excited you're considering sailing with Captain Mickey!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
