Hello! My husband is thinking about running the Star Wars 5k, but I can not find any information for spectators. I'm curious to know how long the festivities last and if we need to buy a park ticket to watch. Thank you!

    Hello, Jennifer!

Thank you so much for your patience! I'm excited to hear your husband is interested in taking on The Dark Side during the inaugural Star Wars 5K at Walt Disney World® Resort. I'm sure this event will be out-of-this-world.

Spectator information has not yet posted, but I can tell you what I do know that will help in your planning.

    • You will not need a theme park ticket as Spectators will not be allowed inside Epcot® during the race, you may, however, line up along the starting line and again near the finish. My advice would be to skip trying to see your Husband at the start and go straight to the finish line to snag a seat in the grandstand so you have a shot at seeing him as he finishes.

    • The festivities can last as long as you'd like! Generally it takes quite a bit of time to clear the course so the fun will last awhile. And, of course, how fast your husband runs and his corral placement will determine how long of a wait you will have. The race begins at 6:00am, so make sure you all arrive at the Start Zone Area by 5am.

I hope this helps get you started, Jennifer! Please do not hesitate to let me know if you should have any additional questions. I am here to help!
