My husband is a teacher; we are limited on when we can go to Disney w/kids. We are considering week before Xmas 12/18/09--12/23/09 or at the end of June 2010. We have heard that week before Xmas is very crowded. Of the two, which would you recommend?

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  When to visit Walt Disney World is one of the hardest decisions to make, but once it's done the fun part of planning can begin!

Personally, I would opt for the June date.  As hard as it will be to put your vacation off six months, I think it's the better time of year to go.  You are correct that the time right around Christmas is very busy, and although the decorations are spectacular the weather can be unpredictably cool.  June will be much warmer, and although the summer vacationers begin to arrive the crowds are very manageable.

I'll also mention mention the with school year and holiday stress behind you, you'll be able to fully relax and enjoy your vacation.

    Good luck with your decision!
