My husband and I are taking our 2 yr old son, for a 1st visit, 8/18 - 8/23. We're staying at PO FQ. We've hopper passes & meal plan. But seems like we're coming right after the summer events, will anything be added? Any suggestions are greatly welcome!

Hi David!  There will always be a multitude of activities and fun going on at Walt Disney World no matter when you come for your vacation!

The Main Street Electric Light Parade has just announced that it will be continuing indefinitely in the Magic Kingdom and that was one of the summer draws this year.  There will also be plenty of other great parades and entertainment in that park and all parks.  When summer ends it doesn't mean the fun ends!  The good news is that during the time you plan to come the crowds will also start to diminish so lines will hopefully be a little shorter.

You might consider making reservations for the Magic Kingdom dessert party.  This is a fun way to watch the great nightly show from a private spot while dining on some yummy treats!

Make sure you get some good photos of your son with his favorite characters.  You can get dining character meal reservations or head to EPCOT for the meet and greet spot that is located to the right of the big fountain in Future World.  It is one of the best spots to see most of the main name Disney characters.

You will have a wonderful vacation.  There will be so much offered that it will be impossible for you to do it all!
