Hi Katelyn,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
It’s exciting that you’re planning your son’s first visit to Walt Disney World. It’s so much fun to watch children of that age and see their eyes light up with all the magic around them.
There’s lots of fun to enjoy while you are waiting for your family to arrive. When our son was about your son’s age, we enjoyed riding a
Surrey bike around Crescent Lake and Disney’s BoardWalk or along one of the other bike trails. Our son also enjoyed going round on the
Marketplace Carousel at
Disney Springs, where you can also enjoy plenty of dining and shopping. Miniature golf at
Fantasia Gardens and
Winter Summerland is always fun. You can meet up with some of your favorite friends at character dining outside the parks like at
Chef Mickey's. Try resort hopping and tour resorts like
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. And, of course, just relaxing at your resort pool and soaking up the sun is a great way to unwind as your vacation gets underway.
There's plenty of fun to be enjoyed while you're waiting for your whole family to arrive, so just jump right into the magic!.
Jerry
