    Hi! My husband & I are taking our 2 1/2 yr old son to Disney for the first time May 13th-17th. People have been telling me that we need to see Fantasmic. Can you tell me exactly what this event is and if it is going to happen when we are there?

    Hi Melissa!

    Fantasmic! is an amazing fireworks & water show that takes place at Disney's Hollywood Studios on select nights. Mickey Mouse stars and he is joined by lots of other Disney Characters, both Villains and Heroes! The show includes some impressive pyrotechnics, spectacular water effects, live actors, favorite Disney songs and animation round out this classic tale of Good versus Evil.

    Disney offers a Fantasmic! Dinner Package where you can dine at one of 3 different restaurants at Hollywood Studios and have reserved seating for Fantasmic!.  This is a very popular option and highly recommended.     Looking at the calendar for Hollywood Studios, I see that Fantasmic! will happen on Sunday, May 16th at 9 PM. The Park also has Extra Magic Hours that evening from 9pm - 12am!

    I hope that you have a Magical trip! We took our son to Disney for his first time when he was 2...He is now 10 years old and still has many memories of that first trip!
