My husband & I will be taking our 1 yr old miracle baby to Disney World for the first time this coming Christmas. Is this too young for a first visit and what all can she enjoy? We are DVC members and used to spending all day in the parks.

    Hi Shannon,

Congratulations on your miracle baby!  That alone is enough to celebrate!  My last daughter's first visit to Walt Disney World was when she was three months old so I think your infant is just the right age to come.  I would invest in an umbrella stroller that can fold down so your baby can nap and also has a canopy to keep the sun off.  There were many times my kids took a nap while I strolled them throughout the theme parks.  I want you to know about the Baby Care Centers that are located in all of the theme parks.  You will have access to a quiet area to rock the baby and changing stations and Carnation cereal.

Some of my fondest memories are when my children were small.  I love looking at pictures of them with all the characters.  I have such precious ones of my kids kissing Mickey Mouse's nose or just gazing up at them in awe.  The characters take time with the little ones, and it is so fantastic.  You could dress her up as a Princess and create your own magical memories.  My children loved any of the attractions such as Small World, any of the train rides, Dumbo, and Winnie the Pooh.  Take it slow.  You will be surprised at how much you have missed.  The details in the theme parks are amazing.  My family would spend all day at the theme parks but was flexible enough to go back to the resort if needed.  One of the greatest gifts of being a DVC member is that you know you will come back to visit again and again.  Just enjoy the beauty and magic of Walt Disney World as seen through the eyes of your daughter.  Your magical adventure is just beginning with her.  Enjoy the ride!
