My husband and I will be taking our 4 year old twins to WDW in Oct 2012. We are deciding between a value resort and a moderate resort. What are the main differences, besides price, and which would your recommend for our first family trip to WDW?

    HI Shannon!
To me, the main differences are usually theming, room size, amenities (linens, etc.), and recreation options. I also don't think that the moderate room prices are prohibitively more expensive than value resorts unless someone is on a strict budget.
For value resorts, I like Pop Century and for a moderate resort, I will always stay at Port Orleans Riverside (love everything about this place)!
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip wherever you stay!! :)
