My husband and I are taking our 2 year old to DW for his 3rd birthday during Thanksgiving wk, Nov 18-23. We're wondering, are there any special events going on that week that we can take him to? Thank you.

    Hi Cassandra!

Well, I would definitely call celebrating your 3rd birthday in Walt Disney World a very special event!

There are so many ways to celebrate special occasions at Walt Disney World.  For some great ideas check out this special page on the Disney website:  Customize Your Celebration.

There is a special event taking place in the Magic Kingdom while you are visiting:  MIckey's Very Merry Christmas Party!  This party does require the purchase of a special admission ticket, and I recommend you purchase it in advance.  It is a very festive celebration, and will be a terrific way to add some extra magic to your son's birthday, while also getting you all into the holiday spirit in a big way!

If this doesn't work out for you, perhaps you would be interested in making an Advanced Dining Reservation for one of the amazing Character Dining Experiences?  These are absolutely fabulous ways to celebrate any occasion, and you can even call ahead to order a special birthday cake, if you so desire!

Have a wonderful time and I hope your son has a spectacular birthday while visiting Walt Disney World!
