My husband and I are taking my 3 year old daughter to Disney maybe the first week of October. Is it worth spending the extra money on a moderate room or are the value rooms just as good. I just want a clean comfortable room close to Magic Kingdom.

    Hi Melissa!

If you're not going to be spending much time in your hotel besides sleeping, then it doesn't matter too much.  If however, you are going to spend a lot of time at your hotel, such as relaxing, then it can make a big difference.  A Disney Moderate Resort has more services and amenities than a Value Resort.  However, neither is close to the Magic Kingdom.

My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century.  It has a great food court and the best bus service on property in my opinion.  There's only one bus stop at Pop Century and the hotel doesn't share bus service with any other hotel.

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming, especially the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  I also like the fact that it has a Table Service (full service) restaurant on site, and I like the boat transportation to Downtown Disney.

My favorite Disney Deluxe Resort is the Wilderness Lodge, which is close to the Magic Kingdom if that's important to you.

    Good luck with your decision!
