My husband and I are taking a vacation June 2011 to WDW with our sons, 6 and 1. We cannot decide which hotel to stay in. We would like to stay somewhere that is comfortable and conveniently located and well laid out. Any suggestions?

Hi Cecilia!  This question will bring many different answers from the panel members as everyone has their own special location that they prefer. I will offer my first and second choices for you to ponder before making your 2011 reservation!

My first choice is always the Yacht or Beach Club resort.  The location is just a five minute walk to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and a walk or 20 minute boat ride to Hollywood Studios. Across the water you have the Boardwalk area which comes alive at night with a beautifully lit up scene and street entertainment along the way.  There are great dining options as well as all of those in EPCOT right at your fingertips.  The most highly rated pool on property is located here too. It is called Stormalong Bay and you can only enjoy it if you are a guest at one of these resorts.  It has a sandy bottom and slides and multiple areas to enjoy on a hot afternoon in June.

The second choice for me would be the Polynesian resort near the Magic Kingdom. This resort is located on the monorail system so you have a simple journey to this magical park during your stay.  If you are lucky to get a room with a castle view it will be a wonderful evening when you can enjoy the fireworks from your room. It is a longer trip but you can also transfer to the EPCOT monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center so you will not need to bus to that park.

I would make a final decision according the parks you think you will be visiting the most.  If Magic Kingdom will be your family destination on many days then I suggest you stay close to this park. If EPCOT and Hollywood Studios will be in your plans many times then stay in the Yacht and Beach Club area.  All of these resorts are beautiful and wonderful and you would enjoy any stay at either location!
