Hi , my husband and I will be taking our two year old to Disney land soon and was wondering if they offer a ride switch like Disney world does. There’s a few rides that both my husband and I would like to go on without having to wait in line all over again

    Hi Amanda!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm delighted to hear you will be taking your toddler on a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. As you may already know, your little one will be able to join you both on any attraction that does not have a height requirement. My husband and I just returned from a trip with our son and he had an absolute blast as always. Some of his favorite attractions this time were the Disneyland Monorail, Haunted Mansion, "it's a small world," and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

Just because you travel with a little one doesn't mean you have to miss out on any of the thrills or attractions with taller height requirements though. Disneyland offers a Rider Switch service similar to the Walt Disney World Resort where you can take turns watching non-riders while the other party members experience an attraction. The easiest way to use this service is by first downloading the Disneyland app on your mobile device before you arrive. When you enter the park, you can link your park ticket to the app. When you arrive at an attraction you both want to experience, just let the first Cast Member in the queue area know that you would like to utilize this service, and make sure everyone in your party is present. The first rider will board the attraction while the waiting rider with your child has their ticket scanned. This person will now have an electronic FASTPASS linked to their ticket to board the attraction in the FASTPASS line when the first rider is finished. This electronic FASTPASS is valid up to one hour after the Cast Member scanned their ticket.

Don't forget to also look into Disney MaxPass which allows you to make digital Disney FASTPASS selections in the Disneyland app! You can even use these in conjunction with Rider Switch.

Thanks again, and I hope you have a Fantasmic day!
