My husband and I are taking our twin 5 year old girls to Disney in 2 weeks. I have made breakfast and dinner reservations and am now wondering if it would be better to just eat wherever we are instead of racing to the park the reservation is in. Advice?

Hi Michelle!  It is great that you have reservations ahead of time.  I am assuming that your breakfast and dinner reservations are in two different parks or at least two different areas at the Walt Disney World Resort.

From personal experience, I usually make my dining reservations first thing (after booking the resort).  I only do one dining reservation per day, and then plan my park days around where that reservation is.  For example, if I have breakfast scheduled at Animal Kingdom, then that will be the day we explore Animal Kingdom.  If I have dinner scheduled at Hollywood Studios, then we usually will grab counter service meals for breakfast at our resort, lunch at a counter service in Hollywood Studios so that we are already there for our dinner reservation.

You can certainly eat breakfast and dinner in two different areas, but if you are wanting to really have time to explore a park that day, you may want to stick with one reservation per day.  Keep in mind that if you have reservations inside two different parks in one day, then you will need to buy the "park hopper" option on your theme park tickets so you will be allowed to enter both parks on the same day.

I hope this helps!  Have a great trip!!
