My husband and I will be taking our three girls to WDW in May ages (9,7,4)We will be driving. We are staying in Art of Animation. I wanted to know if we should Use our car to drive to the parks each day or should we use WDW transportation.

    Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  My family and I recently stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort for the first time and we absolutely loved it!  I'm sure you and your family will fall in love with the Resort's theming and attention to detail.  It truly feels like you are part of your favourite Disney Movie!

I am pleased to tell you that the buses at Disney's Art of Animation are great.  The queues at the resort are central so there is only one stop, and the wait times are minimal (and we stayed over Christmas holidays, one of the busiest times of year at Walt Disney World Resort).  The bus stops at the any of the Theme Parks are within walking distance and at the end of the night are easily accessible.

On the other hand, if you choose to drive, you will not have to wait in the mornings, just jump in your car and go!  The down side with driving is that when you arrive at the theme park, you will have to park, often far away and then take a tram to get to most parks.  At the end of the night, you will have to take the tram back to your car as well.

From my experience, I would take the bus on days you know you will be at one Theme Park.  On days you are going to go to multiple parks, or a different resort for dinner, it may be faster to drive.  If you plan on visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, I would also recommend to drive.

I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort.  Please let me know if you have any other questions while planning.  I would be happy to help!
