My husband and I are taking our three adult children and 3 spouses plus 6 grandchildren on the Disney Wonder August 2011 from Vancouver, BC We want to ensure that this is --special! All are booked into Verandra Suites. What advise can you give us?

    Hi Betty,

I am very jealous, you are guaranteed "special" because you will be sailing with Disney, in my opinion "Disney does it best". Disney is known for having the most comfortable beds at sea no matter which category stateroom you are staying in. You will be able to enjoy very special stateroom amenities that only Disney can deliver at sea...H2O Plus spa bath and shower products.

Make sure to take in all of the sights onboard the ship and especially when you are dining in the rotating dining rooms (this truly is magical). Main Dining features Disney's innovative Rotational Dining system which lets you "rotate" to one of 3 distinctly themed restaurants each night, while your servers follow you from venue to venue.

Make sure you study the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for dining hours, bar hours and rotational dining evening attire.  There will be many activities for all ages available during your cruise that are fun with some surprises and it's really a great time to spend/bond with the whole family.....you will find "magic" around every corner of this ship without having to even look for it!

One of my main "must do's" with children on a Disney Cruise are the different youth activities clubs in different levels from ages 3 months to 17 years old. It's actually the coolest kids club at sea, extremely educational and my daughter couldn't get enough of it...her favorite parts were getting to be a scientist and make "Flubber" and all of the children practiced putting on a stage show for all to come and watch at the end of the cruise as they actually performed their theatrical masterpiece in the Walt Disney Theatre. Do not miss their live stage shows, they're spectacular and it's just like watching a performance on Broadway. Just enjoy and soak in all of the magic...there's tons to see and do!
