My husband and I are taking our son (5) to WDW for two days. We have reservations for the Aloha Show 1 night and would like to know of another great restaurant (table service) to eat at the second night. What might you suggest?

    Hi Melissa -

So far it sounds like you are planning a really great vacation for your family!  I'm not sure where you are planning to focus most of your time during your vacation, but I can give you a few of my favorite dining experiences that you may want to choose from:

    • Whispering Canyon Cafe - located at the Wilderness Lodge.  It's just a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom.  My family loves the all-you-care-to-eat skillet supper.  Children are encouraged to join the waitstaff in games and antics throughout the evening.
    • Crystal Palace - located in the Magic Kingdom.  It's a character dining experience featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends.  The food is served buffet style and is delicious.
    • Boma - located in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  This is another buffet style meal featuring many traditional African dishes.  After dinner, you can enjoy watching the animals roam the savanna.  They even have night vision goggles to borrow.
    • Chef Mickey's- located at the Contemporary Resort.  It's another character dining experience featuring Mickey and friends.
Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
