My husband & I are taking our son to Disney World for his 1st bday in Sept. I'm curious why our son is given a Magic Band, he doesn't need a ticket, so he will just piggyback on our FP+? If it's necessary, how do you suggest keeping it on him? Thanks!!

    Hello Christina!

What a wonderful place to celebrate a very special first birthday for your little prince.  At this time, MagicBands are given to each guest on the Disney resort reservation regardless of age, but don't worry, you won't have to try and keep it on him.  I kept my little one's MagicBands in my purse in case they decided they wanted to wear one like everyone else or to use as a distraction while waiting in line.  There were times where it was very important to my 2-year-old to match the rest of us, so I am happy Disney offers them for younger guests not needing park admission or to make FastPass+ selections.

I wish your family a very magical celebration. For some great tips and ideas to make his visit extra special, visit the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones Disney website.  If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
