Hello Kimberley, and thank you for asking me your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Congratulations on the second honeymoon. I cannot think of a better place to celebrate than the Walt Disney World Resort. Each and every one of the moderate resorts on the property are all great choices for lodging.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is beautiful, but the resort in my opinion are geared towards families with younger children.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful resort with a Spanish southwestern flavor to it. The pools are beautiful and there are even three leisure pools in addition to the main pool that will take you on your own Mayan adventure in search of gold. You can also enjoy the 24-hour health club facilities as well. This resort is currently undergoing refurbishment at this time. Hopefully, you will be able to experience the newly remodeled rooms when you visit next year.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, is a family favorite. This resort will offer you a bit of that Marti Gras flavor. You can cool off at the main pool or take advantage of one of the five quieter leisure pools. Enjoy some smooth jazz in the evening or just relax with a horse-drawn carriage ride. I personally would recommend either Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Both resorts are excellently themed and have great amenities. I usually let my taste buds decide when I am making my resort reservations. So ask yourself if you are in the mood for some Creole or Tex-Mex cuisine? That just may be your deciding factor. Good luck with your planning.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
