My husband and I are taking our oldest son (almost 5) to WDW for 3 days in mid-Jan. We'll definitely spend at least the 1st day in MK, but aren't sure about the other two (and whether we really need the park hopper). Any thoughts? Great forum! Thanks!

Brandon, as the mom of two boys very similar in age to your son, I would agree that the Magic Kingdom is a "must see" on your itinerary.  My boys could easily spend three days happily exploring the rides, characters and entertainment options in this park alone.  However,  if your son is a fan of Playhouse Disney, like mine are, I highly recommend spending part of a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.   Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage! is a fun show where your child can sing and dance along with Handy Manny and other friends from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  My sons also love dining with their Playhouse buddies at Playhouse Disney's Play 'n Dine.  You can make reservations by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).  I also recently had the opportunity to ride Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios with my children.  They absolutely loved it, and have rated it as their number one ride at Walt Disney World.

    Have a wonderful trip!
