Hi! My husband and I are taking an 14 month old in June to Disney World. What deluxe/moderate resort offers the best amenities/pools for a child of this age?

    Hi!

That's a hard question as I think a 14 month old would enjoy any resort hotel at Walt Disney World.  However, if I had to recommend one, I would recommend staying at Disney's Beach or Yacht Clubs.  Both share an amazing main pool, called Stormalong Bay.  My cousin brought her baby to the Beach Club last summer for a mini-family vacation and her baby absolutely loved playing in the kids area at Stormalong Bay.  She could have stayed there all day.  Stormalong Bay is a sand bottom pool with various sections; the kids section is like a small sand island surrounded by a very little amount of water.  Her baby, and my 5 year old son, absolutely loved building sand castles at the pool!  They could have spent the entire vacation there!

For you and your husband, the Beach and Yacht Clubs have other advantages.  They are on Crescent Lake between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You can walk or take a boat to either park, though the walk to the Studios is a little long, especially in the summer!  There's a lot of really good restaurants in the area, especially when you count the number of great places in the World Showcase section of Epcot.  You can take a nice stroll with your baby in the evening around Crescent Lake and enjoy the sights and sounds of Disney's Boardwalk.

On a side note, If you and your husband would like some time alone, you might consider the Kids Nite Out in-room babysitting.  I've never used it myself, but people I've talked to who have tried it have raved about it!
