Hello, Jenna!
How exciting to be taking your little girl on her very first Disney trip! What a special memory you’re about to make!
Yes, you’ll be glad to know that fanny packs are absolutely allowed at
Walt Disney World. There aren’t any
strict rules about the type of buckle or clasp, and size isn’t usually an issue since fanny packs are already compact compared to full backpacks. Disney’s bag policy mostly limits oversized bags (24” long x 15” wide x 18” high), so you’ll be well within the guidelines.
The great thing about a fanny pack is that you can keep it on during most rides. For slower attractions, you won’t even need to think about it, and on thrill rides, you’ll either keep it clipped around your waist or tuck it into the little mesh pocket in front of your seat. It’s super convenient because you won’t be scrambling for lockers or worrying about leaving your essentials behind.
Some attractions like
Avatar Flight of Passage, will require that you take it off and place it on the back shelf while you enjoy the attraction.
I’d suggest packing just the basics, like your phone, ID, debit or credit cards, a snack, hand sanitizer, and maybe a small poncho, so it stays lightweight and comfy for a full day in the parks.
You’re going to love the hands-free freedom, especially with a little one in tow!
Toodles,
Korliss
